Data are playing an increasingly important role in today’s dispute resolution settings, making it crucial for all team members – consultants, counsel, and project owners – to “speak data.” In the past, data access was typically restricted to a few select specialists on the team. Advances in technology have significantly reduced the costs for clients and consultants to access and visualize large and disparate data sets. These tools provide data transparency and allow the entire project team to ask questions and get answers from the data. This promotes a cost-effective approach to collaboratively develop data-driven and fact-based narratives. The presentation demonstrated several examples of client-accessible tools that cultivate an environment where teams can speak data.
