TIG Environmental’s Dennis Farley and Kate Lasseter participated with environmental lawyers Larry Kirsch and Jack Raffetto (Sidley Austin) and allocator Bill Hengemihle (FTI Consulting) in a webinar focused on the Superfund allocation process. As Superfund sites become larger, more expensive, and more technically complex, the prospect of allocating the costs of those sites among numerous parties can be daunting. In many cases, private allocation can be an efficient and effective way of allowing Superfund Potentially Responsible Parties to achieve their collective and individual goals. But to achieve a positive result, participants must lay the correct groundwork early in the process, develop the record, advocate effectively, and work together toward resolution.
