TIG Environmental performs environmental allocation and litigation support activities, focusing on contaminant source identification, site and industrial archaeology, and environmental forensics. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental scientist in any of our offices. We are specifically looking for professionals with 4 to 10 years of technical experience who thrive on turning information into intelligence and desire to develop and provide innovative solutions to industry needs.

We have an exciting opportunity for an mid-level environmental scientist near any of our physical office locations listed above. 


This role will include collaboration with a broader team on forensics matters, specifically conducting data preparation, data quality review, exploratory data analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, and data visualization. The position requires evaluation of historical and technical documents, review and analysis of project datasets, and preparation of expert reports and other deliverables to fulfill specific project requirements. The ideal hire would possess, in addition to technical skills, a high level of organization, willingness to take the initiative, and the ability to work in a dynamic project role.

Preferred Skills

  • B.S. / M.S in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related field.

  • 4 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in review and analysis of technical data, chemical analytical data and reports, as well as conducting data preparation, data quality review, exploratory data analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, and data visualization.

  • Demonstrated experience with the R programming language.

  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and summarizing historical operations, exploring/evaluating process chemistry, conducting data analysis, and using results of such evaluations to explore contaminant sources.

  • Experience with the development of conceptual site models, contaminant fate and transport analyses, expert reports and/or other client-facing deliverables used to support arguments in a litigation or mediation setting.

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients, counsel, and regulatory agencies.

  • Team player with a high degree of self-motivation and strong interpersonal, writing, organizational, presentation, and analytical skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365.
