We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental engineer or scientist, in our west coast offices, either Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. We are specifically looking for professionals with 4 to 8 years of technical experience.


This role will include collaboration with a broader team on sediment and stormwater source control projects in the Pacific Northwest and nationwide. The position requires review and analysis of technical documents such as RI/FS reports, engineering reports, and historical documents, preparation of expert reports, sampling plans, H&S plans, and other deliverables needed for specific project circumstances. The ideal hire would possess, in addition to technical skills, a high level of organization, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work in a dynamic project role.

Preferred Skills


  • 4 to 8 years of environmental experience, ideally in sediment remediation, stormwater investigation, and source control projects in both fresh water and marine environments.

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in environmental or civil engineering or B.S. / M.S in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related field.

  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or PE is a plus.

  • Demonstrated technical experience and knowledge of current technologies, industry practices, and regulations related to contaminated sediment management and stormwater management.

  • Demonstrated experience conducting sediment, soil, groundwater, and/or stormwater investigations, experience managing teams conducting such investigation a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients, counsel, regulatory agencies, and contractors.

  • Experience developing feasibility studies, remedial decision documents and reports, experience with all facets of remedial design, experience with implementing remedies including project management and oversight.

  • Experience with review and analysis of technical data, chemical analytical data, and reports; experience with the development of conceptual site models and contaminant fate and transport.

  • Team player with a high degree of self-motivation and strong interpersonal, writing, organizational, presentation, and analytical skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Project.

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain certification.
