TIG Environmental performs environmental allocation/litigation support activities, including contaminant source identification, site and industry archaeology, environmental forensics, data analytics, and the characterization and remediation of contaminated waterfront and upland sites. Job Requirements:
4-year degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, toxicology, marine biology, chemistry, or related field
40-hour HAZWOPER certification
At least 5 years of experience working on uplands and sediment cleanup sites
Previously managed tasks and/or projects, including developing proposal/scope of work, budgeting, selecting and coordinating subcontractors, and scheduling and managing resources
Demonstrated experience developing sampling and analysis plans, health and safety plans (HASPs), quality assurance project plans (QAPPs), field sampling and collection, and preparation of technical reports
Previous experience collecting soil, groundwater, sediment, and stormwater samples following standard operating procedures and/or methods, including under ASTM, EPA or equivalent standards.
Familiarity with CERCLA and NPDES regulations
Track record contributing to teams while also working independently on multiple projects under strict deadlines
Strong communication, technical writing, organizational, and presentation skills
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Overnight travel may be required
Preferred Skills
MS in environmental science, geology, engineering, chemistry, or related field and/or professional certification
Familiarity with NYSDEC regulations
Experience with the development of conceptual site models and contaminant fate and transport concepts
Experience on environmental allocation, investigation, and/or remediation projects, specifically related to the development of expert reports or remedial decision documents, and experience with remedial design, or implementation of remedies
Proven technical experience and a thorough knowledge of current technologies, industry practices, and regulations as they relate to contaminated sediment or soil management
Demonstrated experience with use of project management/scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or equivalent
