TIG Environmental performs environmental allocation/litigation support activities, including contaminant source identification, site and industry archaeology, environmental forensics, data analytics, and the characterization and remediation of contaminated waterfront and upland sites. Job Requirements:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related field
Preference for those with MS in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related field or in pursuit of a relevant professional certification (e.g., EIT, PE, LG, or PG)
40-hr HAZWOPER certification including annual 8-hour refresher training or willingness to be certified
For entry level – Up to three years of experience with environmental investigation, allocation, and/or remediation projects
For mid-level – At least three years of engineering/science experience with environmental investigation, allocation, and/or remediation projects
Ability to work with Microsoft 365 programs (SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
Ability to communicate efficiently, work with multiple project teams, and manage dynamic workloads to meet strict deadlines
TIG Environmental is seeking candidates with the experience and ability to perform the following tasks:
Be a team player with a high degree of self-motivation and accountability
Communicate and present scientific concepts clearly to project team members and/or clients
Adhere to project schedules and meet multiple project- and client-specific deadlines
For entry level:
Assist with the development of technical documents such as feasibility studies, remedial investigation reports, and other technical expert reports
Perform environmental media sampling (soil, groundwater, sediment, stormwater)
Assist in developing sampling and analysis plans, health and safety plans (HASPs), and quality assurance project plans (QAPPs)
Review technical and/or historical documents and then compile and summarize key facts in written reports or presentations
Understand conceptual site models and contaminant fate and transport concepts, including historical use and discharge pathways for contaminants to reach environmental media
Perform research on contaminants in academic, industrial, and regulatory publications
Familiarity with database management, data quality assurance, data analytics, and data visualization (using PowerBI, MS Excel, MS Access, R, and/or ArcGIS) is a plus
For mid-level:
Develop technical documents such as feasibility studies, remedial investigation reports, and other technical expert reports
Develop proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates
Design and implement environmental media sampling efforts and execute necessary field documentation (e.g., field reports, equipment logs, etc.)
Select and coordinate with subcontractors (e.g., laboratories, data validation, other vendors)
Develop sampling and analysis plans, HASPs, and QAPPs
Review, compile, and summarize technical information from multiple sources into written reports or presentations
Perform contaminant research using relevant sources
Understand contaminant fate and transport concepts and develop conceptual site models
Familiarity with database management, data quality assurance, data analytics, and data visualization is a plus
